Preserving Jazz and Celebrating Music in All Forms
Dalio Philanthropies is a long-time supporter of organizations that preserve and promote the art of jazz music and is committed to elevating high-quality cultural experiences that bring music, art, and diverse perspectives to the community, including:
- Preservation Hall, which aims to preserve New Orleans Jazz traditions and care for elder musicians, has been serving the New Orleans community since it was founded in 1961.
- Jazz at Lincoln Center, which cultivates a global community of jazz through education, advocacy, and performances like their annual concert series and nightly concerts in New York City.
- Perelman Performing Arts Center, home to emergent and established artists in theater, dance, music, opera, film, and media from New York City and around the world.
- The Metropolitan Opera’s Radio Broadcast program, which brings thrilling performances by today’s most celebrated artists as well as legendary stars from the past to audiences online and over the airwaves, captured in live broadcasts spanning nine decades of Met history.
- The Metropolitan Opera’s Access Opera Program, which makes final dress rehearsal performances of the Opera’s incredible productions available to students in schools across the tri-state area, including Title I schools.

Dalio Philanthropies supports leading institutions that create opportunities for artistic exploration and cultural appreciation for wide segments of the public, including:
- The Museum of the City of New York, which engages visitors by celebrating, documenting, and interpreting New York City’s past, present, and future.
- The Whitney Museum of American Art, which presents and celebrates the full range of twentieth century and contemporary American art, with a special focus on works by living artists.
- New York Botanical Garden, which offers a sanctuary for education and inspiration through its world-renowned gardens and exhibitions.
- Pioneer Works., a community-driven space where science and art intersect to inspire creativity.
- New York Public Radio, which brings a broad range of engaging programming to a wide audience.
Community Enrichment and Support
Connecticut and New York City have played an important role in the lives of the Dalio family, and we are proud to support parks, historical societies, libraries, and organizations that strengthen these communities. Dalio Philanthropies has also supported food pantries and shelters that provide our local communities with the necessities and care that everyone deserves. Organizations we have supported include but are not limited to Washington Square Park Conservancy, the Greenwich Historical Society, the Greenwich Library, Village Preservation, Woodlawn Conservancy, the Bowery Mission, and Desda’s Grate.
